80s80s WGT- Radio - the official festival radio station for the Wave-Gotik-Treffen 2025The radio station 80s80s - Germany's biggest 80s radio station - is the official partner of the 2025 Wave-Gotik-Treffen and is producing the accompanying festival radio program for the second time. For the entire duration of WGT 2025, 80s80s will broadcast a specially produced program via FM and DAB+ in Leipzig as well as streamed on 80s80s.de. Events, concerts, artists and visitors are covered by the editorial team - with articles, interviews and background reports. Of course, there is also a suitable selection of music with scene hits as well as exciting new discoveries. The program is presented by 80s80s presenter Sabine Trus.
The festival radio interview guests include Rue Oberkampf, Luci van Org with Lucina Soteira and Coppelius. Scene actors such as Nikola Nölle, Sascha Lange, Lydia Benecke and Franz Zacker are also part of the editorial program.

Knitting afternoon for black romanticsThe knitting circle of the Hilfsverein Nächstenliebe e.V. invites you to the 13th “Knitting After-noon for Black Romantics” in its meeting center. Old knitting techniques will be demonstrated and experiences exchanged over coffee and pastries, and it's certainly not just about knitting. This event is a good opportunity to get into conversation with other participants of the Wave-Gotik-Treffen. As always, there will be plenty of wool and knitting needles available, but a small dona-tion for the materials is requested.

The inclined people learn the prescribed court curtsy, are whisked away to the court of the Sun King of France and practise the art of sword fencing. Countess von Cosel reveals the secrets of the mysterious language of the fan to the ladies and spills the beans about the indiscretions of the Saxon court and opulent feasts and games. The highlight is the grand ball in the Baroque Hall, where the court orchestra performs and guests can learn historical dance figures under the super-vision of the dancing mistress. A spectacle by (and featuring) Barokkokko.

Opening ritual of the Dark Romantic DanceSinuous arms, quivering hips and sensual femininity - the dancers of Thoolas Tribe and Ensemble Lina ring in the Dark Romantic Dance of the Wave-Gotik-Treffen 2025 to mystical oriental sounds. The Leipzig-based dancers will present a performance specially choreographed for the WGT from “Tribal Fusion” and oriental fantasy dances.

The center of the station's activities at WGT is the specially set up “80s80s Gallery” in the Städ-tisches Kaufhaus Leipzig. The multifunctional space combines a mobile radio studio with an ex-hibition by Dresden artist La Suza, whose work visually explores the aesthetics and attitude of the scene.
At today's opening party, guests will experience a live painting by La Suza in an exclusive setting as well as a concert evening with Remode, the well-known Depeche Mode tribute band.

Market on German Mill DayThe romantic Dölitz watermill is located in the immediate vicinity of the Heidnisches Dorf. The Dölitz Watermill Association organizes a small market on German Mill Day, with regional vendors and a varied programme. WGT Farewell BrunchBefore we scatter to the four winds for another year and the “post-WGT blues” take hold of us, we want to get together one last time and review the experiences of the past days and nights.
The Orangerie and the outdoor seating area of the Parkschloss are ready for a sumptuous breakfast buffet with a wide selection of coffee specialties and cold drinks.
Catering is not included in the WGT ticket and must be paid for separately.
